Fourth grade Homework
Homework is a valuable part of extending your child's learning. It is imperative that they are dedicating time at home to continue learning and practicing new skills they have learned in the classroom. Students are expected to do Reading, Math, and Writing homework on a nightly basis.
Reading

Every student is expected to read for AT LEAST 30 minutes every night!! There are a variety of options students can use to achieve their 30 minutes of reading. Students can read a normal book, read an e-book using Overdrive or another e-book format, or they can use Istation. Reading should occur 7 days a week, at least 30 minutes a day- No Exceptions! |
Math

Math homework that relates to the objectives we are currently learning or have already learned will be sent home nightly, Monday through Thursday. Writing homework will consist of students writing one piece per week. Students will be expected to take their one piece of writing through the entire writing process throughout the week. Ex. Monday night- Brainstorm and Draft; Tuesday night- Edit; Wednesday night-Revise; Thursday night- Publish |
